New citizenship form is 10 pages longer
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announed Tuesday that a new citizenship application form that green card holders must fill out to become citizens is coming.
The changes to N-400 form go into effect on May 5. And the form will be twice as long--10 additional pages of questions, according to The New Americans Campaign.
USCIS said the new form will offer clear instructions and it will have questions concerning national security, and good moral character.
There's also a video that can be uploaded that explains the new features of the updated form.
The campaign is a nationwide collaborative working on ways to help green card holders become citizens. In a news release the campaign said it plans to hold citizenship workshops nationwide in the coming months to help those filling out the new form.
