The Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, N.Y., is offering a Mother's Day and Father's Day special. Moms stay free in May and dads stay free in June. Parents must share a room midweek with another paying adult. Moms and dads also get a 15% discount at the resort's gift shop and on some activities. The Mother's Day and Father's Day packages are offered Sunday through Thursday, subject to availability. Rates start at $300 a night for the paying adult (a discount of between about 40% and 50% off normal rates) and cannot be combined with other discounts. Gourmet Challenge

The Sandy Lane resort in Barbados is promoting the Gourmet Challenge package, which offers accommodations in a Luxury Ocean Room at the rate of an Ocean Room, saving travelers $300 a night. The package also includes one cooking-demonstration class, a personalized apron, a wine tasting and a gourmet challenge in hors d'oeuvres and cocktail making. Wilderness River Adventures

Wilderness River Adventures is offering river-rafting trips through Cataract Canyon in Canyonlands National Park. The trip starts in Moab, Utah, and ends at Hite Marina on Lake Powell. Travelers will enjoy 49 miles of calm water and will also hike to ancient Pueblo cliff dwellings to view petroglyphs and granaries. The rapids begin at the confluence of the Green and Colorado rivers. The nights are meant to be used for a honeymoon and their number depends on the size of the bill for the wedding.
